Wakefield Middle School's Student Government
Dance Info.
Wakefield Middle School hosts four dances throughout the school year. The first one is produced by the Band Boosters, and the other three are sponsored by the Student Council, PTSA, and a school club/organization.
One week prior to the dance each student is provided a permission slip for the dance. Extras may be downloaded from this site. All students are required to submit a signed permission slip the week of the dance. Tickers are on sale during lunch the week of the dance. We accept cash and checks. There will be no tickets sold at the door.
Dance Expectations:
- Students must have their ticket in order to enter the dance. There will be no tickets sold at the door.
- Students should arrive to the dance no earlier than fifteen minutes prior to their grade-level’s start time.
- Students should wear soft-soled shoes (tennis shoes, flip flops, etc.), and all students must abide by the school’s dress policy.
- Students must be picked up immediately after the dance in order to attend future dances.
The dances are a lot of fun, and allow students to interact with their friends and teachers in a more friendly setting. For those students who don’t want to dance, or just want to take a break, we have card games, ping pong, and other activities.
