Welcome!
Welcome to Wakefield Middle School’s Student Council. We’re committed to serving the Wakefield Middle School’s students and community.
The Wakefield Middle School Midnight Masquerade dance is on Friday, June 5, 2009. The 6/7th grade dance is from 6:00-7:15 pm and the eighth grade dance is from 7:30-9:30 pm. Tickets are free for all eighth grade students, and $4.00 for 6/7th graders. Tickets will go on sale the week of the dance. Information:
We had a great year this year at Wakefield Middle School! The week of the dance students may purchase masquerade masks ($2.00) and 2009 Monkeys ($3.00) as a keepsake memory of their great 2008-2009 Wakefield Middle School year!
Eighth Grade Students may download an 8th Grade Celebration Order & Donation form. It is a W M S tradition that each eighth grade class has a luncheon, dance, and celebration at the end of the school. Purchasing a t-shirt or DVD supports our fundraising efforts so that this year’s celebration may be successful. Of course monetary donations and donations of food and drinks are always appreciated.
The Ecology Club’s Talent Show was on Friday, February 20, 2009 at 6:00 PM. Tickets to the show were $5, and were sold at lunch.
The Valentines Dance was on Friday, February 13, 2009. In addition to live music (a DJ) we also had games, food, and a WMS Guitar Hero contest on the huge screen in the auditorium. The WMS Student Council also sold stuffed valentines monkeys as a fundraiser.
The Winter Wonderland dance was on Friday, December 12th. In addition to live music (a DJ) we also had games, a movie, and a WMS Guitar Hero contest on the huge screen in the auditorium.
The WMS Student Council is selling stuffed mini snowflake moose as a fundraiser. For $2.50 you may adopt a moose or send one to a friend or teacher. We have a very limited number of moose available for adoption, so get one the week of the dance at lunch before they’re all gone. Moose will be on sale with dance tickets on Tuesday-Friday of next week. There will be no ticket or moose sales on Monday.
The WMS Student Council and Counseling department collected over 2,000 canned & boxed items during our annual food drive. The homeroom with the most points in each grade will win a breakfast, and the class that brings in the most cans will get to “Can Crayton”. The winning class will get to pick any item they donated and Mr. Crayton will have to eat it! See the final tally!
November 10-14th was Wakefield Middle School’s Spirit Week! Students dressed up each day to show their school spirit.

Our big fundraiser of the school year, Pasta for Pennies, just ended, and we raised over $7,000! Congratulations! The penny wars benefits The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. WMS students and community volunteers were able to pick up 40 bags of trash. On October 4th our WMS Campus Beautification Project included more than 25 students and 10 parents who helped beautify the Wakefield Middle School campus. Thank you to everyone involved, especially to our students and community partners!
